If my personality has cost me my place at University, my relationship, and the chance to live with my friends, it was this third failure that hurt the most. I had proved incapable of finishing University, but there were thousands like me every year, I was sure. I’d failed in love, or at least with my first proper girlfriend, but I feel like that was somehow beyond my control - something higher and beyond my reach was in charge of that. But the fact that I had been unable to live even with my best friends… that really hurt. Friendship was something that transcended physicality. It was almost purer than any love you could feel for a partner. The friends you make as a child and who stay with you throughout your life do so not because they find you attractive, or because they have anything financial to gain, but because something deep down connects the two of you. The fact that my thoughts and ways had sullied even that meant that I would have to learn to depend only on myself for contentment - that I would have to learn to cope with being totally on my own.
I moved away to a place where I knew nobody and where I thought nobody would come. I switched my phone off and didn’t respond to messages. People would ask what was wrong and I would tell them I had a problem with my phone; I just wouldn’t tell them that the problem was that having it turned on made me feel frightened and sick. I had to learn to find happiness for myself, but is that even possible?

Anonymous asked: Name your 5 favourite tv shows and Name 5 people who you would love to be in a film together to create the 'dream movie'?
- Sherlock
- Merlin
- Doctor Who
- Qi
- Russell Howards Good News
Now, the people in my dream movie. Me, obviously, that would make it perfect. Then Benedict Cumberbatch and Bradley Cooper to bring in the girls to watch it…They could be naked, and swimming…….Then Stephen Fry and Russell Howard, to bring intellectual perfection and hilarious comedy. Then David Tennant….To bring in some more girls, but he can be there with his fabulous acting skills as well.
Anonymous asked: What are your political views, and if you were to become Prime Minister what would you change to make Britain much better?
Right. That is the question to ask!! Personally I do think that my political views are left wing towards a party similar to Labour. Under any circumstances do I believe in right wing politics or that it does any one any good. I mean the NHS was set up under labour and now is being sectored and sold off under the coalition between the Conservative and Lib Dems.
Even though I am now 18 and am legal to vote, I don’t think that I could vote for Lib Dem or Conservative party because of what they have done and what they are still doing to young people. The raising of tuition fees, the abolishment of EMA and basically getting young people to pay for the faults of our country. Other similar issues such as benefits and care options for people with disabilities that they have cut just sicken me…and have had a really big impact on not just my family with my brother, but many other families.
What would I change? I would make sure that the social policy that I wrote is fair to everyone. Everyone gets what they deserve in life and if they don’t deserve it, then they don’t get it. I personally don’t think that we should be handing out council houses to young girls who get pregnant and should maybe focus more on supported housing for British Troops or people with disabilities.
I would lower tuition fees to their original rate and then make sure that all of the MP’s in my party got rid of their second houses and actually did some bloody work, and had proof that they did! I would make it easier for young people to get jobs and have a say in local politics, instead of a peaceful protest being basically obliterated by police. I would actually talk to people before introducing a policy with no backing.
I would also look at the national curriculum, and iron out the problems. Personally I think, as it has been one of the most important and well used things in my life, is that there should be a lesson taught in schools about life skills, such as first aid and basic sign language, instead of say, religious education (what a joke) I would try to make it so kids could learn languages from a young age, because in the rest of Europe that is what they do and it obviously works.
Anonymous asked: What do you want to accomplish after university?
In the real world I would just love to be successful at whatever I end up doing, whether it is straight freelance graphic design, advertising, promotion or any other form of it.
I would also love to win a D&AD award, that has been a dream of mine ever since I knew that I wanted to be a graphic designer. I would love my work to be featured somewhere, in a magazine or blog somewhere. The whole dream also it be be featured on a massive billboard or something like that.
